GE Basements & Smart Geotechnics 2023
Dear colleagues,
Welcome to the online platform for the Ground Engineering’s co-located autumn conferences delving into the design and delivery of underground spaces, as well as geotechnical instrumentation, monitoring and digital solutions.
The 16th GE Basements & Underground Structures conference will provide best practice from major projects and expert views on industry developments across sectors, ranging from commercial and residential to infrastructure.
Over the course of the event, presentations will cover key subjects such as sustainability; climate change adaptation, resilience and risk management; ground improvement; and urbanisation and infrastructure development.
The 2nd GE Smart Geotechnics conference builds on the themes of the popular GE Instrumentation& Monitoring conference.
The event is aimed at anyone involved in geotechnical monitoring, data analysis and ground modelling, looking for up-to-date insights into projects and smart technologies, including the use of cloud computing and artificial intelligence.
As part of GE’s autumn conferences, we have also introduced the first Early Careers Challenge, in partnership with Mott MacDonald. As part of this challenge, we have invited early career professionals and students to compete in teams to solve a geotechnical problem. The winning team will be announced at GE Smart Geotechnics.
Information on the conference programmes and speakers is available on this platform, which can also be used for networking. All registrants can send connection requests and set up meetings with our speakers and other attendees.
I hope you enjoy GE’s autumn conferences. Please do let us know if you have any feedback that we can use to refine the content of future GE events to ensure they are relevant and valuable for you.
Kind regards,
Nia
