Steel Piling Group

The Steel Piling Group (SPG) was formed in 1995 and re-launched nearly two decades ago to promote and disseminate information to the construction industry around the benefits of using steel in the ground by

• raising awareness of the benefits of steel piling;

• assisting the development of codes & specifications;

• identifying & encouraging research for sheet pile wall systems;

• clarifying construction details and design approaches;

• maintaining a website to become the primary source of technical guidance

• demonstrate potential reductions in carbon footprint

• challenge previous design concepts by proposing the use of steel where a more sustainable steel solution exists;
