GE Sustainability 2024
Dear colleagues,
Welcome to Ground Engineering’s inaugural Sustainability conference.
As the construction industry steers towards a more sustainable future, it is essential for the geotechnical sector to be part of this journey. We are excited to bring together a community of ground engineering specialists dedicated to shaping a greener, more sustainable industry.
The event seeks to foster a collective effort towards sustainable practices in geotechnics. Our goal is to create an inclusive platform for industry leaders, researchers and professionals to come together and discuss the importance of reducing embodied carbon, implementing innovative solutions, and prioritising environmental and human well-being.
The GE Sustainability conference aims to empower participants with the knowledge, insights and tools necessary to make a real contribution. This is enabled through sharing best practices and new ideas, as well as networking with like-minded individuals.
As part of GE’s autumn conferences, we're thrilled to introduce the Early Careers Challenge in partnership with Mott MacDonald. This exciting challenge invites early career professionals and students to compete in teams to solve a geotechnical problem. It focuses on ground engineering, sustainability and digital knowledge, all while honing the participants’ problem-solving and pitching skills.
We have also gone paperless for this conference. Information on the programme and speakers are available on this platform, which can also be used for networking. All registrants can send connection requests and set up meetings with our speakers and other attendees.
I hope you enjoy the very first GE Sustainability conference. Please do let us know if you have any feedback that we can use to refine content of future GE events to ensure they are relevant and valuable for you.
