GE Basements and Underground Structures and Geotechnical Asset Resilience

A welcome letter from Nia Kajastie, editor of Ground Engineering

Dear colleagues,

Welcome to Ground Engineering’s Basements and Underground Structures and Geotechnical Asset Resilience conferences.

This is the first time our events are being delivered over a virtual platform, with two days of presentations and discussions.

This means more industry members will have the chance to access our high-value content from the comfort of their offices or homes, no matter where they are based.

The platform also offers opportunities for networking. All registrants can send connection requests and set up meetings with our speakers and other attendees.

On the first afternoon of the two-day event, we present our new conference theme of Geotechnical Asset Resilience. We will delve into the topic of how we can design, construct and maintain our assets for the future.

On day two, our Basements and Underground Structures conference, now in its 13th year, will once again bring you the latest on major projects, technical challenges, design solutions and best practice.

The combination of thought-provoking presentations is aimed to equip you to understand your future project pipeline and equip you with cost-efficient solutions for your future work.

I hope you enjoy the virtual conference experience, but please do let us know if you have any feedback which we can use to refine content of future GE events to ensure they are relevant and valuable for you.
