Euston TSS Box Propping – Rationalised Thermal Load Design Approach & Future Innovation
GE Basements
Presentation
Current and future projects
Information
At a time where the geometry and depths of excavations are becoming more complex and onerous, the design of temporary propping becomes a challenge – especially when thermal loading can be equal to or greater than the geotechnical design loads.
This session explores how the use of historic data and digital VR models facilitated a more rationalised thermal load design approach to be adopted, leading to a leaner temporary propping solution.
The presentation will conclude with an insight into how thermal loading could be minimised even further on future projects through a new innovative solution.
