This category will recognise the specialist geotechnical consultancy, or geotechnical division within a major consultant, that can demonstrate achievement of clear business milestones between January 2022 and January 2023. The award will celebrate firms that have continually delivered innovation, quality and value during this period, while improving the business and making it more profitable. Entrants should demonstrate how they have improved the wellbeing of their staff. Companies must also use evidence from projects to show how the business’s technical abilities have gone beyond the expected level of service for clients and the supply chain

Sweco has continued to build on strong relationships with clients, project partners and supply chain enabling us to deliver and win new projects. In 2022 Sweco has seen growth, across the UK, in the services offered to the water industry. Also, we have maintained strong performance on Highways projects with many projects successfully advanced to construction stage. We have continued to progress an ambitious programme to modernise the British Antarctica Survey (BAS) research stations where we have championed sustainable practices and introduced world-class, bespoke, energy efficiency solutions. Throughout 2022 Sweco have continued to make employee well-being and retention a priority with initiatives in 2022/23 including: Wellbeing Champions in every in every office, awareness days across the year and a new LGBT+ Allies group. We have also focused on development of employees by expanding digital training initiatives. All this has helped achieve, for 2022, an employee satisfaction score of excellent.
