MIRET - facility management platform
MIRET - MANAGEMENT and IDENTIFICATION of the RISK for EXISTING TUNNELS is a methodology, a
process and a technology for the digitalization and the digital management of existing tunnels. The process
combines innovative multidimensional mobile mapping survey system, defects analysis, artificial intelligence
and risk analysis in a Common Data Environment (CDE) for the technical and management table. That’s our
digital commitment, aiming to a clear, smart and sustainable system for planning, design and maintenance of
the structures.
▪ Survey and Inspection (SI) with multi-dimensional mobile mapping system like ARCHITA. In the MIRET
approach, the SI phase can be repeated to update the data through different time steps;
▪ Digitalization (DI) of the geometric survey to obtain a 3D CAD model or IFC model;
▪ Defect Analysis (DA) from HD linear photo to map and digitalize the defects in a CAD environment. The
defects are statistically elaborated and combined to obtain easy and user-friendly indexes;
▪ Planning and Design (PD): the results are combined in a Common Data Environment (CDE);
▪ Work and Maintenance (WM): the completed works are ready for a new SI phase to determine the new
condition of the structure;
▪ Monitoring (MO) is fundamental to have continuous data input through different phases, allowing a
dynamic database and assessment of the structures.
